We first met Freedom when we moved to sunny Johannesburg from the UK and were instantly impressed by his bubbling personality and willingness to help anyone. He was working for friends of ours, and when we moved into our new home, he started doing our garden twice a week. We soon realised his potential as an all round tradesman, he seemed to be able to repair just about anything! After an appeal on Facebook, some very generous individuals contributed enough money for us to set Freedom up with his own registered business. The fund, along with Beverley's administrative and graphic skills, enabled us to supply him with banners, business cards and flyers. It also paid for the renewal of his temporary residency, giving him another 4 years minimum in South Africa. He now has a bit of a start up fund in the bank and friends ready to work for him. We are hoping that when we move on, we will have helped someone onto the first rung of a ladder that so many individuals here never get the chance of.
Freedom, you are a great worker and have been an even greater friend. We wish you well with what we hope will be a magical future for 'Freedom Painters and Partition Ltd'.
